Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh: In a significant breakthrough against cybercrime, Rajnandgaon Police have arrested three foreign nationals — two Nigerian and one South African — involved in an international cyber fraud operation. The arrests were made in New Delhi following a swift and well-coordinated investigation.
The accused were found to be creating fake profiles on social media platforms like Snapchat, targeting Indian women with false promises of expensive gifts and foreign currency. Through this method, they defrauded victims of several lakhs of rupees.
Police also seized laptops, mobile phones, and other digital equipment used in the fraudulent activities. This operation marks a major step in the fight against cross-border cybercrime and reflects the Rajnandgaon Police’s strong commitment to protecting citizens from online fraud.
