Hyderabad City, Telangana: Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand, IPS, DG & Commissioner of Police, visited Khairatabad Bada Ganesh on Friday and sought blessings of the deity before reviewing the extensive arrangements being made for the upcoming Ganesh idol immersion scheduled on 6th September 2025.
The Commissioner informed that all mandapams across the city are being documented to ensure smooth management and effective crowd regulation. Thousands of police personnel, supported by specialized units, have already been mobilized and deployed across key locations. Surveillance will be strengthened with advanced technology, including CCTV cameras, drones, QR-code stickers, and joint control centres.
He advised Utsav Samithis and organizers to take necessary precautions such as appointing volunteers, ensuring proper barricading, and maintaining electrical safety during rains. He also urged citizens to avoid overcrowding in view of the massive turnout expected.
Later, accompanied by senior officers, the Commissioner inspected Tank Bund, Necklace Road, and other immersion points. He reviewed barricading measures, crane deployment, and traffic arrangements. With the active support of GHMC and other departments, additional facilities are being created to ensure the immersion is conducted peacefully and without inconvenience to the public.
To coordinate efforts, a 24-hour joint control centre will operate at TG ICCC, Banjara Hills, on the day of immersion.
Appealing to the public, Commissioner Anand requested citizens and Utsav Samithis to extend full cooperation and support the police in ensuring a safe, peaceful, and joyous Ganesh immersion.
