Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: In a firm action to safeguard public peace and curb criminal activities, the Tirunelveli District Police detained Maharajan (23) of Kudankulam under the Goondas Prevention Act.
The accused had been involved in serious cases, including murder, attempt to murder, and intimidation, and was creating fear among the public. Acting on the request of Kudankulam Police Inspector Regu Rajan, District Superintendent of Police Mr. N. Silambarasan, IPS, recommended action under the Goondas Act.
Following due process, Maharajan was lodged at Palai Central Jail on 13.09.2025.
This decisive step reflects the Tirunelveli Police’s strong commitment to law enforcement and ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
