Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: Acting on suspicion, Ervadi Police along with officials from the Food Safety Department conducted an inspection at the shop of Haja Mukaidin (54), resident of Ervadi. During the search, authorities found him selling tobacco products banned by the government.
Following the violation, Food Safety Officer Anudeni imposed a fine of ₹25,000, temporarily cancelled the shop’s food license and registration certificate, and sealed the premises.
