Bishnupur, Manipur, October 15, 2025: In a well-coordinated operation, Security Forces apprehended three active cadres of the proscribed KCP (Taibanganba) group and one individual who had been sheltering the militants at his residence in Bishnupur district.
The arrested individual, Moirangthem Shanta Singh (52) of Ningthoukhong Kha Ward No. 6, was found to be providing shelter to the militants. During the operation, two active cadres of the outfit were arrested from his residence:
Ningthoujam Rakesh Singh @ Luchingpurel (21) of Bishnupur Ward No. 6, and
Laishram Birjit Singh @ Lucky (35) of Khongjom Bazar Maning, Thoubal district.
Based on further investigation, another active cadre, Laishram Kishan Singh @ Pamuba (23) of Tuibong Zion Veng Mamang, Churachandpur district, was arrested from the Nachou Panthong area under Bishnupur Police Station.
During the operation, the following items were recovered from their possession:
* One .32 mm pistol with a magazine and five live rounds,
* Five mobile phones, and
* One side bag.
The successful operation reflects the continued commitment of Security Forces to maintaining peace and security in the region by preventing unlawful and extremist activities.
