Hyderabad City, Telangana: As part of Police Commemoration Week, the Hyderabad City Police (Central Zone), in collaboration with HCL and Hyderabad Cyclists, organized a Cyclothon from People’s Plaza to Seven Tombs, Towlichowki, to honor the supreme sacrifices of police martyrs.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 380 cyclists and 100 police personnel, reflecting strong community solidarity with the police force.
The Cyclothon was organized under the directions of DG Sri B. Shivadhar Reddy, IPS, and Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, Sri V.C. Sajjanar, IPS. DCP Central Zone Smt. K. Shilpavalli, IPS, was the Chief Guest, along with other senior officers and representatives from HCL.
Addressing the gathering, DCP Shilpavalli expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizers and participants for their tribute to the martyrs. She urged the public to take part in the upcoming Mega Blood Donation Camp scheduled for October 27, emphasizing the importance of community contribution to social welfare.
She also called upon citizens to maintain vigilance, cooperate with the police in ensuring safety, and promptly report any suspicious activities through Dial 100 or by contacting the nearest police station.
The Cyclothon served not only as a tribute to the fallen heroes but also as a reminder of the strong bond between the police and the community in building a safer society.
