Rachakonda, Telangana, October 28, 2025: As part of the Police Martyrs’ Memorial Week, the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate organized a series of public outreach and awareness programs to honor the bravery and sacrifice of police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
Under the directions of Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Shri G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, various events including cycle rallies, blood donation camps, slogan-writing competitions, short film contests, and photography competitions were held across the Commissionerate. The commemorative week is being observed from October 21 to 31, 2025.
Cycle rallies were organized in LB Nagar, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, Malkajgiri, and Maheshwaram zones under the supervision of respective DCPs, with enthusiastic participation from police personnel, students, and members of the public. Participants raised awareness on key issues such as road safety, cybercrime prevention, the ill effects of drug abuse, the POCSO Act, Dial-100 services, and the importance of CCTV surveillance.
Officers urged citizens to follow traffic regulations, wear helmets, and avoid driving without valid licenses or registration documents. They strongly cautioned against allowing minors to drive vehicles and emphasized the importance of first aid and community road safety committees to prevent accidents.
Highlighting the rising threat of cybercrime, the police appealed to the public to remain vigilant and to report any online frauds immediately by calling the cyber helpline number 1930.
The Rachakonda Police expressed gratitude to all participants and reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding citizens while honoring the legacy of police martyrs through service, discipline, and public engagement.
