Mahisagar, Gujarat: In a meaningful initiative to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Kadana Police Station in Mahisagar district organized an essay and speech competition today at Eklavya Residential School, Divda Colony. The event highlighted the timeless contributions of Sardar Patel and promoted his values among the younger generation.
The program attracted enthusiastic participation from students across different classes, who presented powerful speeches and well-researched essays on topics reflecting the life, legacy, leadership qualities, and nation-building efforts of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Many students spoke about Sardar Patel’s monumental role in integrating princely states into the Indian Union, while others emphasized his discipline, fearless character and devotion toward national unity.
Police officers encouraged the students to look up to Sardar Patel not only as a national hero but also as a role model whose ideals remain relevant even today. They highlighted that Sardar Patel’s message of “Ek Bharat — Shreshtha Bharat” can guide today’s youth to serve society with responsibility, compassion and patriotism.
The event also served as an opportunity to strengthen police–public relationship, as officers interacted warmly with the students and school faculty. They stressed the importance of education, self-discipline and moral values, encouraging students to become law-abiding citizens and future nation builders.
Teachers and parents expressed appreciation for Kadana Police Station for conducting such a constructive and motivational event inside the school premises. They noted that police-organized educational initiatives help students understand the human side of police service and inspire mutual trust and respect.
The program concluded with the announcement of winners, distribution of participation and merit certificates, and a group photograph commemorating the occasion. Students also expressed happiness and pride over interacting with the police and pledged to uphold the values of national integrity and civic responsibility.
