Ramagundam, Telangana: Emphasizing that harmony and mutual understanding are the keys to resolving disputes, Ramagundam Police Commissioner Mr. Amber Kishore Jha, IPS, has urged the public to make full use of the National Mega Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on Sunday, the 21st of this month.
The Police Commissioner stated that Lok Adalat provides an effective platform for resolving disputes peacefully through conciliation, saving time, money, and prolonged legal procedures. He explained that several categories of cases are suitable for amicable settlement through Lok Adalat, including compoundable criminal cases, civil disputes, property division matters, family and matrimonial disputes, bank recovery cases, electricity theft cases, and cheque bounce cases.
Highlighting the importance of compromise, CP Amber Kishore Jha said, “Compromise is the best solution. There is no need to waste valuable time and money in courts over minor disputes when they can be resolved amicably through Lok Adalat.” He encouraged both parties to come forward with a positive mindset and utilize this opportunity provided by the Judicial Department.
The Commissioner directed police officers, constables on court duty, and police personnel in Peddapalli and Mancherial zones to identify cases eligible for reconciliation. He instructed them to counsel both parties, facilitate dialogue, and make sincere efforts to achieve amicable settlements.
He further appealed to citizens who are willing to resolve their disputes through reconciliation to approach the concerned police officers, assuring that Lok Adalat enables quick resolution and speedy justice for victims.
