Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh: As part of National Road Safety Month 2026, a grand Helmet Awareness Bike Rally was organized in Bilaspur to promote road safety and responsible driving habits. The rally was jointly led by District Collector Shri Sanjay Agarwal and SSP Shri Rajnesh Singh, IPS, sending a strong message on the importance of traffic rule compliance.
The key message of the rally emphasized the mandatory use of helmets for two-wheeler riders and seat belts for four-wheeler drivers to prevent road accidents and save lives.
The rally commenced from River View and passed through the city’s major squares and main roads, creating widespread awareness among the public.
Senior officers present on the occasion included ASP Shri Pankaj Patel, Shri Ramgopal Kariyare, Smt. Archana Jha, Shri Anuj Kumar, IPS Shri Shivcharan Singh Parihar, SP Smt. Manjulata Kerketta, and RI Shri Bhupendra Gupta. Members of the Road Safety Committee and a large number of personnel from the District Police Force actively participated in the rally.
The initiative reflected the administration’s collective commitment to achieving safer roads and reducing traffic accidents through awareness, enforcement, and public cooperation during Road Safety Month 2026.
