Ernakulam Rural, Kerala: In a unique initiative promoting social awareness and community partnership, the Rural District Police and the Bar Association organized a friendly football match in Aluva as part of Operation Toofan, an anti-alcoholism campaign.
The event brought together police personnel and members of the legal fraternity to strengthen public awareness about the harmful effects of alcohol abuse while fostering unity and cooperation between law enforcement and the legal community. The Rural District Police team emerged victorious after an exciting and spirited match held at the turf ground near Aluva Bypass Junction.
The event was inaugurated by Hon. High Court Judge Justice S. Manu, while Aluva MLA Mr. Anwar Sadat attended as the chief guest. The programme was presided over by the Bar Association President, with the presence of Family Court Judge Anupama, K. S. Sudarshan, Bar Association Secretary Vishnu Radhakrishnan, Aluva DySP N. Babukuttan, and other dignitaries.
Beyond the competition, the football match symbolized the importance of teamwork, healthy lifestyles, and collective efforts in combating alcoholism. Through Operation Toofan, the police continue to engage with the community in innovative ways, encouraging public participation in building a healthier and safer society.
