Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: Under the orders of Tirunelveli District Superintendent of Police Visvesh B. Shastri, IPS, the district police have been conducting awareness programs regarding crime. As part of this initiative, a child safety awareness program for students was organized by the ‘Singapen’ Special Task Force at the SCAD CBSE School in Cheranmahadevi. The session covered topics such as personal safety for women and children, exercising caution around strangers, online safety, and self-protection during dangerous situations. Additionally, information was provided on how to obtain immediate assistance during emergencies via the police women’s helpline (1091) and the ‘Kaval Uthavi’ mobile application.
