Madurai, Tamil Nadu: Dr. Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, IPS, Director General of Police (Head of Police Force), Tamil Nadu, visited the Madurai District Superintendent of Police office on September 26, 2026, to conduct a comprehensive review of the law-and-order situation and crime statistics in the South Zone. During the visit, he held discussions with senior police officials regarding various police functions and ongoing measures, including the effective maintenance of law and order, crime prevention and detection, preventive detention actions, measures against history-sheeters, and ensuring the safety of women, children, and senior citizens.
