Madurai, Tamil Nadu: To ensure public safety and prevent criminal activities in Madurai district, police personnel are conducting intensive night-time foot patrols under the orders of District Superintendent of Police Mr. N. Devanathan. A foot patrol was recently conducted in the Oomachikulam police station limits (Oomachikulam subdivision) under the direct supervision of the District Superintendent of Police. Surveillance operations have been intensified across various parts of the district. Police are maintaining continuous watch in key areas with high footfall, bus terminals, residential neighborhoods, and major roads. These proactive foot patrols aim to preemptively prevent crimes such as theft, mugging, and anti-social activities, while ensuring the maintenance of law and order.
