<![CDATA[The Rabale MIDC police are on the lookout for an auto rickshaw driver, who allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl on the pretext of dropping her home on Saturday evening. The victim, a Class X pass out, is an orphan and stays with her grandmother in Digha. A few months ago, she got a job in a canteen in Mahape as cashier. According to the police, she leaves for home at 7 p.m. every day, and the driver is suspected to have kept a watch on her. On Saturday, after she stepped out from her workplace, the driver told her that he was on his way to Digha and could drop her home. The Rabale MIDC police told that the auto driver took her to an isolated place and raped her. He threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about it, and then asked her to get inside the vehicle. After he started the engine, she jumped out as she felt that he would take her to some other place. The victim then called the police.
