<![CDATA[A police officer aged 36, belonging to The Special Task Force working at the camp office of Additional Director General of Police,Erode, was found hanging at his quarters in Sathyamangalam on Wednesday morning.He committed suicide. Mr.Gobi from Sathukudal village in Cuddalore district had returned from his home town a few days ago after visiting his wife and seven-year-old daughter. On Wednesday morning when other Special Task Force personnel found no response when they knocked on his door. They broke open the door and found him hanging from the ceiling. The Sathyamangalam police sent the body to the Government Hospital for post-mortem. The Police said no suicide note was found. A case was registered and after post-mortem, the body was handed over to his family members.
