Bhopal: In Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh, three culprits who were accused of goat theft for allegedly absconding from a goddess temple got thrashed bitterly by the furious mob. The incident occurred near Pipliya Rauji village, a short distance away from the Mahamaya Bhadwa Mata temple, where all devotees offer goats and fowls to their God as an offering. Police said that devotees from the village offered fowls and goats at the temple were regularly missing owing to stealing since last month. Which is why villagers had been on the look out to trap the thieves. On Wednesday, it seemed like a great opportunity had been provided to them when the trio-Waris Qureshi, Ajmeri Qureshi, and Bunty Alias Jeevan Bhalai were caught. They were made semi-naked, thrashed and lashed thoroughly by the angry mob for stealing temple goats. The furious mob not only beat them up but also set a blazed their motorbike on which they used to transport the animals. In the meantime, police received information about the incident through social media which was released online. The police hurried to the spot immediately and arrested the trio for goat theft. Also, police detained five persons involved in the mob attack who were identified from the videos posted online. ]]>
