PATNA: Police raided a fraudulent drugs store and seized illegal medicines manufactured in the house of Zakaria complex in Ramkrishna Nagar. The escaped owner of the store is on hunt. And seized medicines have been sent to the drug department’s laboratory in Agamkuan for examinations. While investigating on the matter, police were informed that the racket had been functioning for about two years. The expired allopathic medicines were being used to manufacture the illegitimate ayurvedic drugs. The expired allopathic medicines were mixed with other fresh ingredients in order to produce good aroma and good taste. Police also discovered some stickers that were accumulated from well-known ayurvedic medicines, boxes and wrappers from the spot said the official. In addition, Mr. VIshwajeet Dasgupta, the additional drug controller, said that the fake medicines were being manufactured manually and seized drugs worth approximately 7 Lakh. Police have taken initiative to find out the escaped owner, Valmiki Prasad.
