MADURAI: A man asked his money to be returned got thrashed by the members of family related case police apprehended two culprits and three escaped are in hunt. According to police, Mr. Subramanian aged 70 hailed from Karattupatti village near Sholavandan in the district had given Mr. Prakash the amount Rs 16 lakh in advance to purchase a property in the same locality where he dwelled. Days and months had passed, no land was bought on behalf of Mr. Subramanian. Moreover, he refused to hand over the money. On Thursday, therefore, he approached Mr. Prakash along with his friend to seek his money to be returned. Listening to seeking money Mr. Prakash, his parents Selvam and Amutha and his relatives Geetha and Arunraj were infuriated and allegedly assaulted them using a wooden log. Following the incident, Subramanian and Ramachandran who sustained severe injuries were admitted to Sholavandan government hospital for treatment. Police have arrested two persons involved in the case and for cheating. Police are behind three escaped culprits. ]]>
