BHOPAL: Police booked Abhishek for the charges of murder a day after the body of a minor girl was recovered in a pond in Gautam Nagar. The accused and the girl live in the same neighborhood.
A minor had a habit of escaping from home with Abhishek in the passed. Abhishek was even booked on charges of abduction and sent to jail earlier on the complaint of parents. But soon he was released and the minor started meeting him again. However, Abhishek had tried to distance her.
On Wednesday afternoon, the body of a girl wearing pants and shirt was found in a pond in front of Resham Kendra in Nariyalkhera. The body had injury marks on the neck and head. So, police sent the body for a postmortem examination and the photo was broadcast on social media. Seeing the photo on social media, parents approached police to identify the body.
On the information received, police arrested Ahishek and held him for interrogation. Initially, refused of ignorant of the crime. But during the later interrogation, he revealed that he had committed the crime said the Official.
He told police that after spending the day together on September 8, she refused to return home. When she insisted, she started crying. Then Abhishek took her near the pond on his bike. He asked her to wait there and he had gone to purchase a surgical blade from a shop. After returning, while they were talking the accused hit her on the head with a stone and slit her throat with a surgical blade before disposing off her body in the pond added the Official.
