Coimbatore: Coimbatore city police commissioner Tr. Sumit Sharan IPS., on 25.11.2019 inaugurated 73 CCTV cameras that were installed within the limits of Ramanathapuram police station. While 40 cameras were installed on Puliyakulam Road, the remaining ones were installed in the surrounding auxiliary roads.
All the cameras are connected to the outpost. As NVR-based camera system was being installed, it could also be connected to the police control room, “The CCTV cameras play a major role both in preventing and detecting crimes. We are aiming at installing at least 100 cameras per month in each police sub-division.
