<![CDATA[The Crime Branch arrested a Fake Indian Currency Note(FICN) printer in Delhi. With the arrest the police have seized fake notes with a face value of Rs.16 lakh in denomination of Rs.100 each. He was arrested from Sector 31 following a confidential piece of information. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Mr.Lokender Singh said the Fake Indian Currency Notes printed by Anmol were not of high quality. He circulated them among the less educated and printed only fake notes with a face value of Rs.100 to avoid suspicion. The Subhash Nagar resident devised a plan to print and circulate FICNs following shortage of currency notes of smaller denomination in the wake of demonetization. He started printing fake notes at home using a laptop, printer and cutter. Mr. Singh said he mostly circulated the fake notes along the Delhi- Faridabad border and in Delhi’s Kapashera. The accused,Anmol aged 20 has been involved in the illegal activity for the past six months and has already circulated FICNs with a face value of over Rs.10 lakh, the police said. They have seized the laptop, printer, scanner and cutter used by the accused to make the fake notes. A case has been registered against him at Sector 31 police station. He will be produced in court on Monday.]]>
