Hyderabad, Telangana: In a major success against property crime, the Adibatla Police, with the support of the Crime Team and CCS Zonal Crime Team, solved multiple burglary and vehicle theft cases in two separate operations, leading to the arrest of three accused and the recovery of stolen property worth several lakhs.
In the first operation, police apprehended Mukesh Choudary (35), an interstate house burglar from Rajasthan, in connection with a house burglary case registered at Adibatla Police Station. During interrogation, he confessed to his involvement in seven house burglary cases across Adibatla, Hayath Nagar, and Kushaiguda police station limits. Police recovered 3 tulas of gold ornaments, 30 tulas of silver ornaments, a mobile phone, and a Hero Glamour motorcycle, with the total value estimated at ₹6.5 lakh. The accused is a habitual offender with 17 previous criminal cases and had earlier been detained under the Preventive Detention (PD) Act.
In a separate operation, the Adibatla Police and the CCS Crime Team arrested Syed Qasim Hussain (18) and Mohammed Kareem (19) for their involvement in multiple two-wheeler thefts across Hyderabad and neighbouring areas. Based on their confession, police recovered five stolen two-wheelers, including Honda Activa and Dio scooters and a Pulsar NS motorcycle, linked to cases registered in Adibatla, Chanda Nagar, Ghatkesar, Choutuppal, and Jeedimetla. Efforts are continuing to trace the remaining absconding accused and recover additional stolen property.
The successful operations were carried out under the supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes) Shri Srinivas, IPS, DCP Shamshabad Zone Shri B. Rajesh, with the guidance of ACP Pradeep Kumar Reddy, SHO S. Ramesh, Detective SI N. Noel Raj, and the dedicated teams of the Adibatla Police and CCS.
The Hyderabad Police have also urged citizens to strengthen the security of their homes and vehicles by installing CCTV cameras, burglar alarms, strong locking systems, and GPS trackers, informing the police before extended travel, and reporting suspicious activities immediately by dialling 112. The operation highlights the department’s commitment to protecting public property, dismantling habitual criminal networks, and enhancing community safety through proactive policing.
