Tamil Nadu, Chengalpattu: Tamil Nadu Police is organizing the All India Police Shooting Competition for the third time. In this, the 25th All India Police Shooting Competition 2024-2025 was held at the shooting range at the Tamil Nadu Commando School Training Complex, Ahaavakkam, Chengalpattu district from (17.03.2025) to (22.03.2025). The grand opening ceremony of the 25th All India Shooting Competition was held at the Tamil Nadu Police High Training Academy Kavathu Ground in Onamanchery, which is a milestone for the pride of the Tamil Nadu Police. The 25th All India Shooting Competition was inaugurated by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Mr.Shankar Jiwal,I.P.S and the Chairman and Organizing Secretary of the 25th All India Shooting Competition 2024-25.
Additional Director of Police Dinakaran, I.P.S. welcomed the Chief Guest and introduced the members of the Organizing Committee, the Jury, the Managers and the Officers. Later, the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, accepted the Guard of Honour from the Police. The Chief Guest paid homage to the President’s Nishan, the highest award in recognition of the distinguished service and dedication of the Tamil Nadu Police and Mr. Dinakaran, I.P.S Additional Director of Police, Operations delivered the welcome address. The Chief Guest, Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Mr.Shankar Jiwal, I.P.S highlighted the importance of the shooting competition among the police shooters who have come from all over the country. He also said that the shooting competition trains them to handle critical situations. The Chief Guest of the 25th All India Police Shooting Competition 2024-2025, All India Police Control Board hoisted the flag and officially declared it open. Following this, the flags of the participating teams were hoisted. The inaugural ceremony was followed by the oath-taking ceremony and the chief guest was presented with mementos.
