Amalapuram: Konaseema District Superintendent of Police Mr. KSSV Subba Reddy IPS said on Wednesday that a case has been registered against BJP state president Somu Weeraju. He was charged with assault and criminal intimidation to prevent a public servant from performing his duties.
A case has been registered against Andhra Pradesh BJP President Somu Weeraju. It is learned that Somu Veerraju created Veerangam at Raupalem Jonada on Wednesday morning. The SI on duty was pushed back and he misbehaved with the police. With this, the police said that a case has been registered against Somu Veerraju under sections 353 and 506 of the IPC.
However, on Wednesday morning, the police tried to stop Somuveerraju saying that Section 144 and Section 30 were in force in Konaseema district. Impatient with this, Somuveerraju went on a rampage against the police. Amalapuram police have registered a case against AP BJP chief Somu Veerraju for obstructing police duties by harassing them by saying, “Why did you stop my car? I will not talk to you; I will only talk to the SP.”
