KOLKATA: On Tuesday, a closely associated member of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) has been apprehended by the Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata police. The terrorist is identified as Ejaz Ahmed who was allegedly involved in collecting funds for the organization and recruiting youngsters. According to police, Ejaz is a resident of Birbhum district in West Bengal. He had been roaming in different cities and towns of the country bearing fake names like Izaz, Moulubi, Doctor and Jeetu, etc. One of the most wanted terrorist and a man responsible for having contact with top leaders of the terror outfit in code language using messaging sites was got arrested from Bihar. Police remanded him to police custody till 10 September in order to decipher the terrorist in touch with him. Police also have recovered mobile phones and in discriminating documents from this possession. After the arrest, the peril terrorist have been produced before a local court and remanded in 14 days’ police custody. The strict interrogation on him revealed that he was constantly in touch with another JMB operative, a key accused indulged in Khagragarh blast case Salauddin Salahein.
