Andaman and Nicobar: Andaman and Nicobar Police accorded a ceremonial farewell parade to H.S. Dhaliwal at the Police Lines Parade Ground on his transfer to Delhi after more than 21 months of distinguished service in the Islands.
During his tenure as DGP, A&N Islands, the police department achieved notable progress in crime control, anti-narcotics operations, modernization, police welfare, and community-oriented policing. Several welfare initiatives were implemented under his leadership, including promotional upgradations for personnel completing 15 and 25 years of service, reduction in LOP guard tenure, installation of solar power systems at Look-Out Posts, and improvements in welfare infrastructure.
Police officials expressed gratitude for his leadership, guidance, and dedicated service towards strengthening transparent and people-friendly policing in the Islands.
The entire police fraternity conveyed their best wishes for his good health, happiness, and success in his future assignments.
