Anakapalli: As per the orders of District SP Ms. Gowthami Sali IPS., as part of the Parivartana 2.0 program, as part of the program to prevent the smuggling of Ganja from the district, the district police should carry out strict enforcement. For the month of June, 2022, 25 NDPS cases were registered in the district and recovered 4,232 kilograms of dry ganja which is valued at approximately Rs.2,79,40,000/-, which would be more in the open market, the district police arrested 53 accused and seized 23 vehicles. The district SP honored the officers who showed excellence in catching ganja cases with letters of appreciation.
SI Mr. Gopala Rao seized 1,082 kg ganja within K.Kotapadu police station limits, SI Mr. Simhachalam seized 556 kg ganja under Devarapalli police station limits, SI Mr. Venkanna seized 530 kg ganja within Nakkapalli police station limits and others conducted vehicle checking and seized ganja.
District SP said that if caught in Ganja cases, severe punishments are in force. District SP warned not to destroy lives and families.
