Andhra Pradesh: During the annual press conference DGP, Mr. Gautam Sawang IPS highlighted crime statistics, 2021, the impact of various outreach programs like Spandana, Disha initiatives for the safety and security of women and children, technology innovations towards efficient and evidence-based policing, and Operation Parivarthana, Operation Muskaan, measures taken up for the welfare of Police personnel and 150 National level Awards and appreciations received by Andhra Pradesh Police including Number 1 in SMART Policing in the country in Indian Police Foundation Citizen Satisfaction Survey 2021.
The DGP also highlighted the key principles of the matrix for Change and Transformation of Andhra Pradesh Police Department since June 2019 towards improved Efficiency, Transparency, accountability, people-friendly, equitable and just, non-partisan, sensitive to weak and vulnerable, and clean Police for effective and efficient public service delivery in line with the mandate of GOAP and vision of Hon’ble Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister.
