Coimbatore: Video footage of Striking Force (SF) personnel escorting a 108 ambulance to rush a patient to the government hospital during an anti-CAA rally in Coimbatore has won applauds. A massive rally was organized by the All Jamaats and Islamic movements on Sunday. Over 10,000 Islamic people and representatives of several political parties took part in the rally which commenced from Ukkadam to Red Cross Society.
Under the supervision of City Police Commissioner Mr. Sumit Saran, and other senior police officers, over 3000 police personnel were deployed for security. While the rally reached the Town Hall area, a 108 ambulance was rushing to the Government Hospital for an emergency.
To make way for the ambulance, the Commissioner of Police ordered the SF personnel to clear the traffic and pave way for the 108 ambulances. The SF personnel swiftly acted upon and made way for the ambulance.
The public who witnessed the incident lauded the police personnel for their timely intervention.
