AP : With technical prowess Anantapur Police recovered 128 mobiles during the week and handed over to the same to the victims. So far 3631 mobiles worth Rs.5.84 crore were recovered and handed over to people since the launch of WhatsApp number Chatbot service. It is a novel initiative by Anantapur Police, through which victims who lost their mobile phone could send a Whatsapp message without visiting a Police Station to lodge a complaint. People expressed joy on getting back their mobiles phones. DGP Mr. K .V Rajendranath Reddy IPS, commended Anantapur Police for their amazing work, professional skills and use of technology by exhibiting ardour and commitment in recovering lost/stolen property.
