Andhra Pradesh: DGP Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao IPS, honored police officers at PHQ, Mangalagiri, with the Award for Best in Crime Detection (ABCD) for their excellence in crime detection during July-September 2024.
Chittoor SP and the team won first prize for solving a ₹26 lakh ATM theft.The team members were given a citation and a cash prize of 1 lakh.
Guntakal Railway SP secured second for cracking a robbery in Hindupur.
Kurnool SP took third for resolving a murder in Aspari.
Konaseema SP received a consolation prize for arresting an inter-state gang linked to 40 temple thefts.
Additionally, commendation certificates were awarded to the SPs and teams from Kurnool, Vizianagaram, and Krishna districts for their efforts in resolving the highest number of cases during the National Lok Adalat on 14/12/2024.
