Nellore: In response to the growing concern over sound pollution caused by modified silencers on motorcycles, the traffic police in Nellore launched a special operation to detect and penalize violators. The modified silencers produce loud noises that cause great inconvenience to the public and motorists, and pose a serious threat to public safety. The operation was aimed at identifying motorcyclists using these modified silencers and putting an end to the use of such devices.
During the operation, the traffic police registered cases against those found to be using modified silencers, and confiscated the devices. Today, the Nellore district police took a step further by crushing 420 of these modified silencers near the Magunta layout outpost. This action sends a clear message that the authorities are committed to taking strict measures to ensure public safety and prevent sound pollution caused by these devices.
Furthermore, the police have also issued stern warnings to those who sell and install these loud noise silencers, as well as mechanics who fix them, of strict action that will be taken against them if they continue to engage in such activities. The public has been urged to cooperate with the authorities by reporting any instances of modified silencers being used, and to be aware of the dangers posed by these devices.
Overall, the Nellore traffic police and district police have taken a commendable step in addressing the issue of sound pollution caused by modified silencers. It is hoped that this action will serve as a strong deterrent to those who engage in such activities, and help to make the roads safer and more peaceful for all.
