“Aparajita On Line” is a quick response system for reporting complaints on online violence against women and girls, dowry, domestic violence etc. The reason why most online abuses go unreported may be due to social pressure, or various blackmailing tactics adopted by the perpetrator, such as a close friend or relative. This may be due to the lack of confidence of the complainants and fear and reluctance to approach the police. This system is meant to motivate women and children to overcome these difficulties. The scheme also aims to take swift legal action against dowry, domestic violence etc. Aparajita Online is working under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Women Cell. The information of the complainant and his/her family will be kept confidential. Complaints to Aparajitha Online can be sent to the email address aparajitha.pol@kerala.gov.in or helpline number 9497996992. Complaints received in this way will be forwarded to the concerned district police chiefs after preliminary investigation. District police chiefs will take immediate action on that. The assistance of Cyber Police Station, Cyber Cell, Hi-Tech Crime Inquiry Cell, Cyber Dome etc. will also be used for the investigation. Once the culprit is identified, the complainant will be informed and legal action will be taken. This scheme aims to bring criminals to justice as soon as possible. This service is available 24 hours a day.
