Assam secured the No.1 position in the country for implementation of the Nyaya Sanhita, reflecting unmatched efficiency and commitment to justice delivery.
Major Achievements at a Glance:
* Crime reduction: Total crime cases dropped dramatically from 1,21,609 in 2020 to 40,925 in 2025, registering a remarkable 66.3% decline.
* Pending investigations: Reduced from 1,54,280 cases (2020) to just 11,235 cases (2025) — an unprecedented 92.7% reduction.
* Conviction rate: Improved sharply from 5.5% in 2020 to 26.2% in 2025, marking a 376.4% increase.
* Wildlife protection: Zero rhino poaching cases in 2025, with 97 poachers arrested, effectively halting wildlife crime.
* Stolen vehicle recovery: 788 vehicles recovered and returned to owners, including
* 657 two-wheelers
* 28 three-wheelers
* 86 four-wheelers
* 17 heavy vehicles
* War on drugs: A strong crackdown on narcotics led to 3,013 cases registered, 4,453 arrests, and drug seizures worth ₹419.47 crore.
* Mobile phone recovery: 4,807 stolen mobile phones successfully traced and restored to citizens.
