Assam: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking in Karimganj, Badarpur police conducted a raid, seizing around 10,000 Yaba tablets valued at approximately Rs 2 crore. During the operation, authorities arrested Diliyar Hussain Chowdhury, a resident of Katigara in Cachar district.
The drugs were allegedly being transported from Katigara to Badarpur. Acting on intelligence reports, police intercepted the illegal consignment from a passenger vehicle at Badarpur Ghat.
This successful operation highlights Assam law enforcement’s ongoing efforts to combat the trafficking of illicit substances in the region.
