Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: Based on a complaint filed by the parents of a 13-year-old girl—who resides within the jurisdiction of the Sanarpatti All-Women Police Station in Dindigul—it is alleged that 31-year-old Saran, a resident of Ganesh Nagar, Treasury Colony, Nandhavanapatti, Dindigul, lured the girl away and sexually molested her. Acting on this complaint, a police team led by Inspector Sathyaprabha of the Sanarpatti All-Women Police Station registered a case under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. Following an intensive investigation, the police arrested Saran under the provisions of the POCSO Act and are currently conducting further inquiries. It is noteworthy that Saran works as an assistant professor at a private college located on the Old Karur Road in Dindigul.
