Hyderabad: Abiding by the instructions of DGP Mr. K.V Rajendranath Reddy IPS, District SSP across the State conducted Awareness Program on Investigation of cybercrimes to SDPOs, Inspectors, SIs, Station writers and computer staff through Video Conference.
The officers and staff are familiarized with the techniques required to deal cybercrime, use of new technology and online applications such as crime reporting portals, their implementation under the IT Act and Preventive measures against online frauds, financial crimes, loan Apps, OTP, e-KYC, Honey trap, Job scams, Phone call frauds, fake social media accounts, OLX frauds, Child Pornography and Aadhaar card related crimes etc.
Also instructed the officers to organize awareness programs to the general public and youth in their respective areas on cyber frauds and reporting crime using Helpline number1930 and cybercrime.gov.in.
