Karnataka, Bengaluru: In a tragic incident at Avalahalli near KR Puram, Bengaluru, a 54-year-old temple barber named Kumar was killed in a dispute over a blanket. Kumar, who worked at the temple helping devotees remove their turbans after fulfilling their haraks (religious vows), was sleeping in the temple premises using a blanket that allegedly belonged to the accused, Manjunath alias Krishna Murthy (38).
The dispute escalated when Kumar refused to return the blanket he had borrowed due to cold weather.
