Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada: On the occasion of the conclusion of Bhavani Diksha, Police Commissioner Sri S.V. Rajasekhara Babu IPS conducted an inspection on December 23, 2024, from the Command Control Center at the Model Guest House near Durga Ghat. Using CCTV cameras, he monitored the crowd of devotees at key locations and issued various instructions to officers and staff in charge of the respective sectors to ensure no lapses occurred. Additionally, live drone footage from critical areas such as Vinayaka Temple, Seethamma Vaari Paada, the Bus Stand, and the Railway Station was reviewed. The Commissioner also utilized the Astram app to assess traffic congestion in the city and directed traffic officers to take necessary measures to mitigate issues.
As part of the inspection, the Police Commissioner, accompanied by other police officials, visited areas along the Giri Pradakshina route, including Durga Ghat, Kummaripalem, Sitara, Milk Project, Chittinagar, Srinivas Mahal Center, Brahma Veedhi, Ratham Center, and Vinayaka Temple. He advised the on-duty personnel at these locations to perform their responsibilities diligently to ensure devotees faced no inconveniences and that the event proceeded without any untoward incidents.
Later, the Commissioner examined the holding areas near Seethamma Vaari Paada and provided several recommendations to officials after assessing the facilities arranged for the devotees. To accommodate the large influx of Bhavani devotees, additional barricades were set up to expand the holding areas.
The program saw active participation from City Police Commissioner S.V. Rajasekhara Babu IPS, DCP Gautami Shali IPS, ADCP G. Ramakrishna, ACPs, inspectors, and other staff.
