Bhopal: On July 13, 2020, Additional Director General of Police, Bhopal Zone, Bhopal Mr. Upendra Jain IPS has ordered Deputy Inspector General of Police, Bhopal (City) Mr. Irshad Wali IPS to take action under special operation and to arrest the accused.
Under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police Headquarters, Mr. Dharmveer Singh IPS, the team of Police Station Branch, Bhopal, on 12/07/2020, received information through informer that 05 suspected persons traveling in a Hyundai Centro car were carrying heavy drug (Ganja). The accused were taking the 11-mile bypass from Hoshgabad Road via Anand Nagar to Bhanpur Overbridge Road, between 02 and 03 hrs to Dauraha Shyampur, were illegally hiding the drugs in the empty tank of a gas kit in their Centro car were smuggling it.
On the information of the informer, the team of Police station, Kaime Branch, Bhopal, were waiting for the suspicious vehicle at Bhanpur overbridge. After a while, a gray-colored Hyundai Centro car was seen coming at a high speed which appeared suspicious, and the police team tried to stop by blocking, then the person driving the car looked at the police and tried to escape by turning the car back, but the police meanwhile organized the siege. Two people sitting in the car got out of the car, and in an attempt to stop the car, two people ran away taking advantage of the opportunity. The Police officers questioned the three people who were caught in the car, then the person sitting on the driving seat gave his name as Surjit Singh Malviya and the person sitting next to him mentioned his name as Basant Kumar Bhowmik and the person sitting in the back mentioned his name as Brijesh Kumar. The three persons told the names of the two runaway persons as Naushad Khan and Bhola.
The five men collectively do business illegally by selling cannabis from Malkangiri. The Hyundai Centro car with registration number MP 09 / H.E. 17744, was searched and when the police opened the gas kit tank in the Diggi behind and made the search they found a total of 31 kg of an intoxicating substance(marijuana) and 3 lakh 72 thousand rupees. In connection with this, the police, after taking legal action on the spot, the accused was brought to the police station with the drugs and marijuana. The car was registered in the name of Surjit Singh.
The accused had taken permission from Naushad to go to Visakhapatnam via online e-pass using Centra Car MP 09 / HE / 7744 during the lockdown, from where illegal and incriminating heavy substances were put into the gas kit tank of the car. The accused were caught Red handed while they were smuggling the drugs.

- Basant Kumar Bhowmik father Sushant Kumar Bhowmik age 25, resident of Sikandar Ganj Doraha Police Station Doraha District Sehore.
- Brijesh Kumar Father Bhagwan Singh Age 32 years Resident Village Baradi Kala Doraha, Thana Doraha District Sehore.
