Bhubaneswar: This day was designated by the United Nations General Assembly as a means to combat the issues that are caused due to human trafficking. The day was declared with the aim of raising awareness around the victims of human trafficking.
The Bhubaneswar Urban Police District (UPD) has traced 17 boys, 109 girls, 65 male persons, and 140 female persons in the year 2021. We have also arrested 17 male and 4 female traffickers and rescued 18 victims in the previous year.
