Bidar: On 25th April 2023, Mr. Ambarish Wagmode, an officer of Raudhi Nigriha Dal, B.Kalyana Nagar Team, and his team members executed an operation near Basaveshwar Circle of Muchalamba Village under the jurisdiction of Basavakalyan Rural Police Station related to the “Cricket Betting Case”. The objective of the operation was to apprehend a person who was illegally soliciting money from the public by encouraging them to place bets on the ongoing IPL match between Gujarat and Mumbai Indians.
During the operation, PSI Basavakalyan Rural Police Station, along with his team members, worked tirelessly to track down and arrest the suspect. As a result of their diligent work, they successfully apprehended the suspect and seized a sum of Rs 41,850.00 from him, which was believed to be gained from illegal cricket betting activities.
Following the arrest and seizure, a case was registered at B. Kalyana Rural Police Station. The police officers and staff involved in the operation were commended for their exemplary work in executing the operation and ensuring that the suspect was brought to justice.
The successful operation is part of the Bidar district police’s continued efforts to maintain law and order and control criminal activities in the area. The police department remains vigilant and dedicated to upholding the rule of law and protecting the rights of the public.
