Guwahati: In a significant operation aimed at curbing cross-border smuggling, vigilant personnel from the 49th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) successfully apprehended an Indian national attempting to smuggle a substantial quantity of sugar across the Indo-Bangladesh international border. The seized consignment weighed a total of 5880 kilograms and was valued at approximately Rs 2.06 lakh. This interception highlights the ongoing efforts of the BSF to thwart illegal activities and maintain the integrity of the international boundary, preventing goods from being illicitly transported into Bangladesh.
