Tirunelveli: On September 22, 2024, Police Inspector Indira from the Liquor Enforcement Division, along with other officers, was patrolling the area under the Melapalayam Police Station in Tirunelveli City. During their patrol, they noticed a two-wheeler parked suspiciously in the Kurichi area near the South Bypass in Manur Pallikottai, Tirunelveli District. Upon inspection, Srinivasan (44), son of Shanmugaiah, was found with the vehicle. A search of the two-wheeler revealed 119 grams of ganja packets. The police also seized the vehicle and Rs. 900. A case has been registered, and an investigation is ongoing.
