Chengalpattu: The Chengalpattu Police while creating awareness on online fraud to the public said some people who have an intention to commit a crime may call you on the phone and say you worked in the military and use your ID card as an Ex-Serviceman on websites like Online App Flipkart, Amazon, OLX. They will deceive you into buying things through offers and swindle you out with the word of desire. The Police warned the public to be alert and not fall into the trap of fraud set by the fraudsters.
The Police said to be cautious and take the necessary step only after confirming that the words of the caller are genuine. Never fall to anything without proper analysis and confirmation that the thing is not a fraud but is genuine.
