<![CDATA[Chennai: Arrests was made on charges of misappropriation of gold on Thursday by the Mambalam police. The arrested belonged to a leading jewellery showroom in T.Nagar. Leo John and Anjith, were staff members of a leading jewellery showroom and they had been dealing with old jewellery for the past ten years at the shop, the police said. They bought old jewellery from customers, melted and made new jewellery. Over a long period, the two accused stole 250 sovereigns of gold and on interrogation admitted to have committed the crime, the police said.
