Chikkamagaluru City, Karnataka, October 24, 2025: In a major breakthrough, the Chikkamagaluru City Police have successfully apprehended two inter-state thieves belonging to the notorious ‘Chaddi Gang’, responsible for a series of house burglaries across Chikkamagaluru district and other parts of the state.
The police team, through meticulous investigation and coordination, tracked down and arrested the culprits who had been creating fear and unrest among the public with their repeated thefts. Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in multiple burglary cases.
The operation led to the seizure of stolen property worth ₹32 lakh, including valuable jewellery, cash, and electronic items. This successful operation marks a significant step in restoring public confidence and ensuring the safety of citizens.
The Superintendent of Police, Chikkamagaluru District, commended the City Police team for their swift action, excellent coordination, and dedicated efforts in solving the case and recovering the stolen assets.
Further investigation is underway to trace other members of the gang and recover remaining stolen property.
