Orphaned female children from Bishop Aelen Home meets City Police Commissioner Mr.A.K. Viswanathan at his office in Vepery .The children were from slums, now put in schools. The children were allowed to take a tour of the premises on Saturday. Around 21 children, studying from Standard II to VIII for Children, came to the Police Commissioner’s office in the morning. Sr. Rose,the home’s founder,got an appointment with Mr. Viswanathan with the help of well-wishers, . Interacting with the children, Mr. Viswanathan told them to focus on studies and also inquired about each one’s goal in life. When the response from many of them was to join the police force, Mr. Viswanathan said to the children that they should work hard to achieve their goal. They have to complete there degree and prepare for civil services examinations . If they work hard, they can accomplish there goal. The Commissioner instructed his colleagues to take the children around his office and explain the functioning of various wings. The Women police personnel took the children around the control room and briefed them on its functioning. The children were later taken to a restaurant for lunch.
