Bhopal: As per Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s initiative, women police in the state are being empowered to effectively combat crimes related to women. A total of 950 police stations now operate the Energy Women’s Help Desk, aimed at addressing women’s issues and listening to their complaints. To ensure swift justice for victims, the police force has been equipped with state-of-the-art tools and equipment. As part of this endeavor, 250 two-wheelers will be provided to women police officers across the state. On July 28 at 10.45 am, Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the distribution of these two-wheelers at the main gate of Motilal Nehru Stadium, Bhopal.
During the event, Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan will also unveil a poster booklet prepared by the Women’s Security Branch, promoting the special awareness campaign “Abhimanyu.” This community policing campaign aims to educate boys and men about women-related crimes and gender equality. Notably, 13 two-wheelers have been contributed by the Trident Group from their CSR fund to support women empowerment.
The two-wheeler rally will commence from Motilal Nehru Stadium and follow a route passing through Lal Parade Ground, Vijay Dwar, Control Room Square, Raj Bhavan Tiraha, Roshanpura, TT Nagar, Platinum Plaza, Atal Path, Jawahar Chowk, Rangmahal Square, Roshanpura Square, Raj Bhavan Tiraha, Police Control Room, and finally return to Motilal Nehru Stadium through Vijay Dwar Lal Parade Ground gate opposite the Police Petrol Pump.
The primary aim of the “Abhimanyu” campaign, conducted by the Women’s Safety Branch, is to educate boys and men on gender equality and values while sensitizing them towards women. The campaign’s second phase will be implemented across the entire state from August 1 to August 15. Various events such as debate competitions, quizzes, street plays, short film screenings, and marathons will be organized in schools, colleges, and public places. The first phase of this campaign, which started in June, witnessed the participation of more than 1 lakh individuals across the state in over 300 programs.
